Familiar Classics is a small, family-run company in Auburn. We bring a well-kept classic convertible to weddings, proms and portrait sessions across southern and central Maine, and look after every detail around it so you can simply enjoy the day.

What to expect
One less thing to think about
Reserve
Tell us a little about your day. We confirm the date and send a short, straightforward agreement.
Arrival
We arrive ahead of your session with the car prepared, and set it where your photographer would like it.
Your photographs
Enjoy the car however you like. We stay close by to look after it and reposition it for any shot you have in mind, then pack up quietly when you're finished.
Services
Packages for 2027
Founding rates for our first season. Every package includes the car, setup, and the two of us on hand from start to finish.
Wedding Portraits
Up to two hours at your venue or photo location, ribbon, a "Just Married" sign and a staged getaway shot.
Prom Group
One hour at your pre-prom photo spot. Couples and groups take turns with the car.
Portrait Session
Forty-five minutes for engagement, senior, maternity or family photographs.
Event Display
The car parked as a centerpiece and photo spot for up to four hours at a party or opening.
Styled Shoot
A half day for photographers, boutiques and small productions. Full days available.
Extra time
Stay longer with the car at weddings and events, booked in hourly blocks.
Our packages are designed for photographs and display, so the car remains at your chosen location for the session.

About us
Who we are
We're Autumn Desrosiers and Miles Laidlaw, an engaged couple from Auburn who share a soft spot for older cars and well-planned occasions. We keep our cars in our own garage, maintain them ourselves, and attend every booking in person. We're starting with one car and plan to grow carefully, adding cars and services as we go.
Photographers and venues
We'd be glad to work with you. This spring we're offering a complimentary styled session to a few Maine photographers, and a thank-you for every client you refer. Venues are welcome to add us to their vendor list.

Frequently asked
Can the car take us to the reception?
Our packages are for photographs and display, so the car stays at your photo location. We're happy to set up a departure shot there, and can suggest a local car service if you need transportation.
What happens if it rains?
We'll keep an eye on the forecast with you. Where the venue allows, we can move under cover; otherwise we'll find another date within twelve months.
Is anything due now?
No. Joining the list is free. When booking opens, a 50% retainer reserves your date and the balance is due a week before.
Where do you travel?
There's no travel fee within 25 miles of Auburn, which covers Lewiston, Poland, Gray, Turner and much of the lakes region. Portland, the coast and Augusta are a short drive, and we quote travel up front.
Which car will it be?
A classic convertible we're choosing this winter and preparing in our own garage. Everyone on the list will see it first.
Can our photographer direct the session?
Of course. We follow your photographer's plan and are glad to reposition the car whenever the light or the setting calls for it.
